Churchwell White Announces Addition of Two Partners
SACRAMENTO, March 7, 2018
Attorneys Nubia I. Goldstein and Robin Baral have been elevated to the position of Partner at Churchwell White LLP. Nubia and Robin join the Firm’s six existing Partners to continue the expansion of one of the greater Sacramento region’s fastest-growing law firms.
“We are very excited to have Nubia and Robin join Churchwell White’s partnership ranks. They have practiced law at Churchwell White LLP since the first year the law firm was founded and have grown to be leaders within their respective practice areas,” said Douglas White, Managing Partner for Churchwell White LLP. “You really couldn’t ask for better people or professionals to practice law with, and they represent the future of our firm,” said White.
Nubia practices in the areas of public law, real estate and land use, litigation, eminent domain, and legislative advocacy. As City Attorney for the City of Newman, as well as Deputy City Attorney for the cities of Angels Camp, Ceres, Dixon, and Sonora, Nubia advises Churchwell White’s municipal clients on issues related to the Brown Act, conflicts of interest, election law, and land use matters. She also represents the firm’s public and private clients in all stages of litigation, mediation, and alternative dispute resolution. She is a member of the Public Law section of the California State Bar, a member of the Hispanic National Bar Association, and a registered lobbyist. Prior to joining Churchwell White, Nubia worked at the Capitol as a staff member for a California Assemblywoman. Nubia received her juris doctor from University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law.
Robin provides specialized counsel to public and private clients facing complex land use, environmental, and regulatory challenges. His practice is predicated on finding balance between the often competing demands of urban development, industrial permitting, and land conservation to protect California’s unique natural resources. His practice focuses on the intersection of land use, water supply and infrastructure planning. Robin serves as Deputy City Attorney to multiple municipalities, and provides special counsel to numerous cities and special districts. A graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, Robin went on to earn his juris doctor from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles.
